"Sunday's Quote of the Day"

Church today was very interesting. It had a Celtic Christian worship theme (referencing St. Patrick's Day this Thursday), with the sermon titled, "God Sees People Movements as People Opportunities". In other words, mirroring the history of the Celtic peoples and their forced relocation at the hands of the Ancient Roman Empire, the Message was a reminder that throughout our own lives and wherever we may go in them, God is always facilitating the spread of His Word among those who are desperate for it.

It was a unique and particularly poignent worship service, and one presented through the use of contemporary and traditional Celtic music. And let me tell you, St. Marcus has some wonderfully talented musicians! So, that said, as follows is the beautiful refrain from one of the songs shared during worship. It's written by Celtic singer, Maire Brennan, and comes from one of her songs titled, "The Big Rock". It will serve as my 'Quote of the Day'.

CRIOSTA O CUMDAIGH ME -- (Christ cover me)
CRIOSTA O COIMHEAD ME -- (Christ guard me)
CRIOSTA O COINNIGH ME -- (Christ keep me)
CRIOSTA AN RI -- (Christ the king)

CRIOSTA O TARRTAIL ME -- (Christ deliver me)
CRIOSTA O TREORAI ME -- (Christ guide me)
CRIOSTA O TEAGASC ME -- (Christ teach me)
CRIOSTA AN RI -- (Christ the king)
