"Wisconsin Film Office"

I recieved some very disheartening news today. Because of government mismanagment of funds, the State of Wisconsin will be closing down the Wisconsin Film Office. According to the state, promoting film in Wisconsin is not a priority.

On the upside, however, a coalition of arts organizations, film related businesses and filmmakers think otherwise, and have been meeting to create a private, nonprofit, industry-based alternative to the film office. Here's hoping they find success. Wisconsin continues to be a state rich in art and culture. To see that dimish because of lack of funds would be truely gut-wrenching.
