"The Brewers go Hollywood -- again!"Back in 2003, I was cast in the Bernie Mac baseball movie, "Mr. 3000". During that summer, Hollywood came to Milwaukee to shoot the movie in Miller Park, home of the Milwaukee Brewers. When the movie was released a year later, the Brewers were the team featured throughout the film.
Well, now it's time to turn the tables, only this time, it's the Brewers who are doing the traveling. Yesterday, during their current roadtrip to Los Angeles to play the Dodgers, four players from the team filmed their acting debuts on the top-rated CBS soap opera, "The Young and the Restless". The episode in which they appear airs on June 20.
So, why are four Milwaukee Brewers
baseball players featured on a Soap Opera? Well, as it turns out, the casting director sought them out for the appearance because "The Young and the Restless" has been set in Genoa City, Wisconsin for over eighteen years.
Genoa City, though fictionalized for the show, is a real town outside the resort area of Lake Geneva.
Up until earlier this week, that's a trivia tidbit I did not know.

'Restless' Brewers go from swings to soaps"
