"Snow Falls in Baghdad!"Snow fell in Baghdad this morning for the first time in over 100 years.
Summer temperatures in Baghdad are routinely around 120 degrees and winters generally mild. But this week has been unusually cold and blustery, with overnight temperatures more than 10 degrees below normal. On Thursday morning, the thermometer hovered around freezing after a low of 27, and the Baghdad airport closed because of low visibility.
I guess if Southeastern Wisconsin can get rare tornadoes in January, then the Baghdad desert can get snow. I guess God's keeping us on our toes this year. :)
