"Playoff Fever 2008: Minus 3"

Baseball just doesn't get any more exciting than this! The New York Mets beat the Chicago Cubs, and the Milwaukee Brewers swept game three against the Pittsburgh Pirates -- their fourth straight win. As a result, the Crew remains tied for first in the Wild Card, with three games to go. Here's where things stand at the end of today:

Wow, and what a game tonight was, too! Yovani Gallardo -- who was expected to be out for the rest of the season with a torn right knee ligament -- came in and pitched seven strikeouts in the first FOUR innings! A masterful performance by any count. Then, in the bottom of the 10th inning, two outs, Ryan Braun came to the plate and one-upped Prince Fielder's walk-off homerun on Tuesday -- he hit a walk-off grand slam homerun to win the game!

Man, this is exciting stuff! The next three games against the Cubs will decided it all. Two teams (Mets and Brewers), just one Wild Card. Go Brewers!
