"March Snow Sun"

A record 14.2 inches of snow fell in Milwaukee today. The city was taken by surprise, commuter traffic was at a standstill, airplanes were grounded, and thousands of residents were left cleaning up a thick blanket of white. But here in West Allis -- 6 miles inland from Lake Michigan -- we got none. No snow. No messy commute. Just sunny skies.

It's called Lake Effect Snow and it's extremely common here in SE Wisconsin.
